Kazerad (real name Nicholas) is the author and main artist of Prequel. He has been working on the comic for several years now, with various contributors. His appearance can be seen in this unlisted video.
The most recent hiatus, colloquially known as the Purrgatory, has been due to contributors having vastly varied schedules and other delays. He makes up for it by occasionally doing a stream for the community.
